Recorded on a summers evening in the Garage 2019. I wanted to write a song where I could connect the relationship between growing plants and raising children. I love the similarities between growing children and raising plants. Helping them grow healthy and strong. Beautiful and fruitful. This song has the ups and downs of love and leaving love behind. I can picture my son Ziggy looking out the window as if he were a sunflower bent over in sadness of my departure. Its kind of the answer to that, letting them know Its not easy leaving and my drive to do good in this world starts and end at home.

Sounds:

Guitar: Sure 57 on the Kay 60's parlor. 80's Emmons pedal steel plugged direct with a light phase effect.

Drums: Japanese kit with tambourine.

Bass: 60's Vega hollow body w/ flat wound strings down tuned. Plugged direct with a sub bass filter to get the bass tones. (dont worry friends, i just bought an actual bass last week)
